From UofC’s Place Lab: Narrative in Historic Preservation

I attended Historic Preservation at 50: Chicago and the Future of the Movement a few weeks ago, co-sponsored by Landmarks Illinois and the Glessner House Museum.   I had it in mind to write about it afterwards…. but, well, that didn’t happen.

So I was delighted last week to come across a blog post by Nootan Bharani, AIA,  Lead Design Manager for Place Lab at the University of Chicago.  Since I completely agree with her that the narrative of people and place are strongly interdependent – and that’s pretty much the essence of what Jane’s Walk is about – I thought I’d reproduce her post here in its entirety.  Thanks, Nootan!
