A Glittering Art and Architecture Walk on Dearborn Street

We had a glorious day for a Walk on Dearborn Street yesterday, and we were joined by a group of Chicago high school students who attend the Development School for Youth organized by All Stars.org

The sun was brilliant, and it made striking patterns on the buildings,

as here at the Fisher Building:

Looking east on Madison:

And on the Inland Steel Building:

We made great use of the street furniture so conveniently placed in front of the Picasso and the Chagall, while Rolf Achilles explained how the artists recruited steelworkers and other colleagues to build their donations of artwork to the City of Chicago.

We’d be delighted to have the chance to explore Chicago with AllStars.org again!

  1. Hi, Martha, Wow, what fun. Great pictures and words. Correction, though. There is no Matisse, maybe you meant Chagall? Coffee soon? Best, Rolf
